This Privacy Policy describes how Crintech Studios ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Royal Forge on the web at royalforge.crintech.pro, on iOS, on Android, and via the Royal Search browser extension (collectively, "the Service").

1. Information We Collect

Royal Forge is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal to no personal data:

No account required. You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the Service.
No personal data collected. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
No tracking or analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Umami, Plausible, or any other third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDK.
No fingerprinting. We do not use browser fingerprinting libraries or cross-site tracking techniques.

2. Cookies, Local Storage & Caching

Royal Forge uses only strictly necessary browser storage. Because none of it is used to track or profile you, the Service does not display a cookie-consent banner under the EU ePrivacy Directive / AEPD guidance.

Local Storage (strictly necessary). Your preferences and in-app data live entirely in your browser's localStorage. This includes: selected server (Europa, Americas, Asia), language preference, favorite players and items, recent searches, saved builds, market filters, and dismissal state for the Beta translation banner. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
IndexedDB cache (strictly necessary). A hashed copy of the item database (items_compact.json) is cached in IndexedDB so repeat visits do not re-download it. Invalidated automatically when the underlying data changes.
Service Worker cache (strictly necessary). The Progressive Web App caches static assets (HTML, CSS, JS, icons) to enable offline loads and fast subsequent visits. No user-identifying information is stored in the cache.
Cloudflare technical cookies (strictly necessary). Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly-necessary security cookies such as __cf_bm (bot management) and cf_clearance (challenge clearance). These are used solely to protect the Site from abuse and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare's cookie policy for details.
No third-party cookies. We do not embed ads, social widgets, or any third-party script that would set cookies on your browser.

You can clear all local storage, IndexedDB and the service-worker cache at any time from your browser's site-settings panel, or on native apps by clearing app data in your device's OS settings.

3. Third-Party APIs

Royal Forge communicates with the following public APIs to display game data:

Albion Online GameInfo API (operated by Sandbox Interactive GmbH) — for player, guild, killboard, and battle data.
Albion Data Project API (community-operated) — for market prices and gold exchange rates.
Albion Online Render API (operated by Sandbox Interactive GmbH) — for item and spell icons.

On native apps, these requests are made directly from your device. On the web, some requests are routed through a thin Cloudflare Workers proxy purely to attach CORS headers and forward them to Albion — no logging, no persistence, no user attribution is performed by the proxy.

4. Build-Sharing Link Shortener

If you choose to generate a shareable link for a build (AF1- or AFG1- code), the encoded build string is sent to our Cloudflare Workers KV store and exchanged for a short 8-character identifier. The KV entry contains only the build code — no user identifier, no IP, no timestamp beyond what Cloudflare's own infrastructure logs. You can stop using this feature at any time; pasting the full code directly works everywhere too.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, no special provisions are necessary.

6. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is no risk of a data breach on our end. All data remains on your local device. Traffic to and from the Service is served exclusively over HTTPS via Cloudflare.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
